The Netherlands become closer to PetrSU
Anatoly Voronin, Rector of Petrozavodsk State University, met with Mr. Hans Wesseling, the Consul General of the Netherlands in St. Petersburg.
The meeting was also attended by Julia Smirnova, Assistant Consul General; Juris Ramm, intern Consulate General; Daniel Martsenyuk, Acting Spokesman of Russia in Petrozavodsk; V.Syunev, vice-rector for research; N.Kravchenkova, Head of International Cooperation.
A.Voronin and Mr. Hans Wesseling discussed the possibilities of cooperation of Petrozavodsk State University with the Dutch Institute in St. Petersburg, which supports Russian universities in establishing links with universities of the Netherlands.
"The University is interested in cooperation with Dutch universities and business partners. I am sure that cooperation between Petrozavodsk State University and the Netherlands Consulate General in St. Petersburg will contribute to further expansion of bilateral cooperation of higher educational institutions of Karelia and the Netherlands in the field of education, culture, science and innovation," said the rector of the Petrozavodsk State University.
At the end of the meeting, Mr. Hans Vesselin thanked PetrSU Rector for the warm welcome and expressed confidence in further fruitful cooperation between Petrozavodsk State University and educational institutions and enterprises of Holland.
The guests were given a tour of "Ilmarinen", the scientific and design laboratory for students; the Museum of Science, the media center and the Centre for Petrozavodsk State University budget monitoring.
